Somehow managed to sleep through my alarm this morning and didn’t get up until after 10 am!  Had some coffee for breakfast and we headed to Shinjuku to explore for our last day.

Managed to watch the 3-D cat billboard.

We then walked to see the Godzilla head.   This time he looks like he’s fighting a Street Fighter!

Walked around Shinjuku a bit on the way to Tokyu Hands.

Grabbed lunch first at a tempura place in Takashima Department store restaurant hall.   Was not bad but probably not worth the lengthy wait.

Spent quite a while checking out Tokyu Hands.   Still a fun experience!  Definitely more busy than it was my first trip to Japan but not as bad as other stores.  Bought some pens, kitchen items and a few other things.

Took the JR Chuo line back to Tokyo Station and stopped at the electronics place near our hotel to buy a hairdryer.   Got the Refa one my Sapporo hotel had the last trip.  

Got back to the hotel and organized my suitcase and checked in.   Should still be fine with carry on for the trip home.

Was getting late and since we had a late lunch, we went to the pub next door.   Was filled with local people and it had smaller dishes so worked well.   I had a beer and the crispy chicken with mashed potatoes and truffle gravy.

Was the perfect size and easy and cheap.  Booked a limousine bus to Narita for tomorrow as will be easier than dragging luggage around and the stop is across the street from the hotel.   Sunday tomorrow so shouldn’t have any traffic issues.

Was raining today but Shinjuku was a good choice as we didn’t have to walk around too much outside.
