Thursday October 22 – Tokyo

Woke up around 7:45 today and made a coffee in the room and had some rice snacks the hotel provided.

Then grabbed a donut and iced coffee from the 7-Eleven before heading to the Tokyo Skytree.  Went to to the 350 floor observation deck for some views of the city.   A bit hazy further west so couldn’t really see Mt. Fuji.

Headed down and stopped for an expensive beer at the Oktoberfest beer garden below the tower.

Then walked to a bus stop to go to Nippori Fabric Town as Marilyn wanted to buy some fabric.

Then caught a taxi to check out Denny’s as I wanted to go to a family restaurant after seeing a program on them.   Logo looks the same as North American Denny’s but nothing on the menu was the same.

The food was cheap but not super good,  apart from the dessert which was very good.

Then caught another taxi to the station to head back to the hotel.   Stopped at an electronics store near the hotel as I may want to buy a hair dryer.

After a short break we headed to Shibuya for some night views.   Saw the Scramble Crossing and the Hachiyo statue as well as some cool billboards with an animated dog.

Then grabbed a quick dinner at a soba place above the station.

Took the Ginza line back to our hotel to relax and bit before bed.
